A New Chapter in Medical Research at MIMS/SHARE INDIA

We are proud to announce the establishment of the Student Research Council (SRC) — a pioneering initiative and the first of its kind at MIMS/SHARE INDIA. Guided by the vision of our founders and led by Dr. Shailendra (Chairman) and Dr. Kalpana (Co-Chairman), this 15-member council is dedicated to building a thriving, student-driven research culture at our institution.

Our Vision

This initiative is more than a council — it is a commitment. We believe the Student Research Council will transform the research landscape at MIMS and inspire a new generation of medical professionals who contribute meaningfully to advancing healthcare across India and beyond. We look forward to the remarkable work that lies ahead.

How It Works

Five specialized subcommittees will drive implementation across these focus areas. Complementing this structure is an AI-enabled Student Portal for Research — a dedicated platform designed to seamlessly connect students with mentors, resources, and research opportunities.

What the SRC Stands For

The Student Research Council is built around seven core pillars:

Research Engagement — Inspiring students to participate actively in academic research

Mentorship — Connecting learners with experienced researchers and faculty

Capacity Building — Equipping students with the skills and knowledge to conduct rigorous research

Interdisciplinary Collaboration — Breaking silos to foster cross-specialty innovation

Knowledge Dissemination — Supporting publications, presentations, and scholarly exchange

Leadership Development — Cultivating future research leaders from within our student body

Ethical Practice — Embedding integrity and responsibility at every stage of research

The Impact We Envision

The SRC is expected to meaningfully increase student participation in research, elevate the quality and ambition of student-led projects, strengthen our institutional presence in national and international publications, and raise MIMS's profile as a centre of research excellence.
