Dr. Shailendra D and Dr. Kalpana B’s Abstract “Feasibility of door-to-door HPV DNA screening using self-collected vaginal swabs for early detection of cervical cancer in rural India”, was selected for presentation at 2025 ASCO Annual Meeting, Chicago.

The project, 'Prtham' (Preventing Tuberculosis among Health Workers at MGIMS Sevagram), was launched on 1st July 2023 with support from the Government of Maharashtra in collaboration with MGIMS Sevagram, under the 'Going Germ-free for TB Free India' initiative of the TB Mukt Bharat campaign.

The Household Contact Active and Latent Tuberculosis Intervention (HaALT) project in Nagpur supported NTEP and IGGMC in detecting and treating active TB and LTBI among household contacts, and strengthening pediatric TB diagnosis.

The End MDR TB in Dharavi project in Mumbai aimed to support the NTEP programme to improve treatment outcomes for MDR TB patients and reduce community transmission in crowded Dharavi slums with poor sanitation and malnutrition.

The research proposal titled "HPV persistence and STI co-infections" has been selected for the Dr. Jaya Narendra Research Award of Rs 1 lakh. Dr. Kalpana B is selected as the first recipient.
