Our Story
From a shared vision to meaningful impact, here is our journey of service and change.
From a shared vision to meaningful impact, here is our journey of service and change.
In 1981, a group of Indian‑American professionals who had studied in undivided Andhra Pradesh came together to create a way to give back to their motherland, founding SHARE USA (Science Health Allied Research Education) to turn that intent into action.
In 1986, this vision took root in India with the creation of SHARE INDIA, later joined by SHARE Medical Care and the MediCiti Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS), providing a home where healthcare delivery, teaching, and research could grow together.
Today, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (SIRO) by the Government of India, SHARE INDIA continues to connect global expertise with local needs, using innovation, partnerships, and long‑term community engagement to improve lives across India.
Over the years, SHARE INDIA has blended community service with cutting‑edge research through initiatives like REACH, LIFE, TETRA, and several national and international collaborations, steadily building a culture of research in Indian medical colleges while improving health outcomes in rural communities.
