Our team from SHARE INDIA - Mamatha D ,Deepa Vuppala, Dr. Preethi, and Manjeera —visited The Antara Foundation from 24th–28th November 2025, engaging with communities and health facilities across rural and tribal regions of Seoni and Chhindwara districts.
The visit offered valuable insights into health systems strengthening and highlighted the impact that is possible when non-profits and government systems work in close partnership to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
We observed impactful interventions including the AAA and C-AAA models, Project Anugami for high-risk pregnancy management, nurse mentoring and facility enhancement (Aaradhya Jeevan), and Poshan Clinics.
Reflections from the visit:
- Sustainable system strengthening requires patience, partnership, and persistence
- Data-driven decision-making is key to prioritization and improvement
- Aligning closely with government priorities enables scale and sustainability
- Deep engagement with cultural and community contexts is essential
- Community ownership drives long-term behaviour change
We sincerely thank the Antara Foundation team for their exceptional coordination and for
providing us with an in-depth understanding of their impactful initiatives.
We look forward to translating these learnings into action and exploring future collaborations with The Antara Foundation.
